This Cookie Policy explains how Comerzia LTD uses cookies and similar technologies on https://comerzialtd.com. We have written it to describe what actually runs on this website rather than to list every technology a website might in principle use. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, because some identifiers and stored values may involve the processing of personal data.

1. What This Policy Covers and Who We Are

This policy covers cookies and comparable technologies, including browser local storage and session storage, used on https://comerzialtd.com. It is published by Comerzia LTD, a private limited company incorporated and registered in England and Wales under company number 16068070, whose registered office is at Unit 7 Initial Business Centre, Wilson Business Park, Manchester, United Kingdom, M40 8WN.

If you have any question about this policy, contact us at Comerziauk@gmail.com. Email is our sole contact channel and is sufficient for any purpose under this policy.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website and sent back to that website on subsequent visits. They can support essential functionality, remember preferences, measure site performance, improve security, and allow site operators or third parties to build a picture of how visitors behave.

Local storage and session storage are related technologies built into your browser. They allow a website to store small amounts of information on your device. Unlike cookies, values stored this way are not automatically transmitted to a server with every request; they are read by the website's own code when it runs in your browser. The law in this area applies to the storing of, and access to, information on your device generally, and so it covers these technologies as well as cookies.

3. What We Actually Use

As at the effective date of this policy, this website does not set any cookies of its own. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, marketing cookies, social media cookies, or any cross-site tracking technology. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag, and no third-party tracker embedded in our pages.

What we do use is a small amount of strictly necessary browser local storage, which is set only in your own browser and only in order to deliver the functionality you have asked for:

  • An authentication token, stored when you sign in, which keeps you signed in as you move between pages and allows the website to prove to our servers that a request is yours. Without it you would have to sign in again on every page, and the checkout and your account could not work at all.
  • Basic account information, such as your name and email address, stored so that the interface can show you as signed in without a further request to our servers on every page.
  • Your currency preference, stored so that prices continue to be displayed in the currency you selected rather than reverting each time you navigate.

4. Why We Treat These as Strictly Necessary

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is not required for storage or access that is strictly necessary to provide a service that the subscriber or user has explicitly requested. Authentication state and the retention of a preference you actively selected fall within that exemption: they exist solely to deliver the account, checkout, and pricing display that you asked for, and they do nothing else.

None of these values is used to track you across other websites, to build a profile of you, to target advertising at you, or for any analytics or measurement purpose. None of them is shared with any third party. They are read only by our own website code running in your browser.

Because everything we store is strictly necessary on this basis, we do not display a cookie consent banner. A banner is not required for storage of this kind, and we take the view that showing one would imply a choice that is not real, since the site cannot function without these values. If that position changes, so will this policy - see section 8.

5. Server Logs and Infrastructure

Separately from anything stored on your device, our hosting provider maintains server logs as an ordinary part of serving the website. These may record information such as your IP address, the time of a request, the page or resource requested, the response status, your browser type and version, and referring URLs.

These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, error diagnosis, and reliability. They are not cookies and are not stored on your device, but they may contain personal data, and their handling is described in our Privacy Policy. Our payment provider and other infrastructure providers may keep equivalent logs of the requests they handle.

6. Third-Party Technologies

We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, social media, chat, video, or mapping tools in our pages, and so no third party sets a cookie through our website in the ordinary course of your visit.

Where you are directed to a payment provider to complete a purchase, that provider operates its own pages and may set its own cookies or use equivalent technologies, including for fraud prevention and security. That is governed by that provider's own cookie and privacy notices, not by this policy, and you should review them if you wish to understand what it does.

Website configurations can change over time, and we may introduce or remove providers. If we introduce a third-party technology that sets cookies or accesses information on your device beyond what is strictly necessary, we will update this policy and, where the law requires consent, obtain it before that technology is activated.

7. Duration and Persistence

The authentication token and account information we store persist in your browser until you sign out, until you clear your browser storage, or until the token expires. Signing out removes them.

Your currency preference persists until you change it or clear your browser storage. None of these values has an advertising or profiling lifetime, and none is refreshed or extended by any third party.

8. Consent and Future Changes

Because everything currently stored on your device by this website is strictly necessary to provide the service you have requested, we do not currently ask for cookie consent and do not operate a consent banner or preference centre.

If in future we deploy analytics, advertising, or any other non-essential technology, we will not activate it until we have obtained your consent where the law requires it. In that event we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism, allowing you to accept or reject non-essential categories and to change your mind later, and we will update this policy before doing so. Any withdrawal of consent would not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.

9. Your Choices and Controls

You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies and site data, to receive alerts before storage is placed, to limit categories of storage, and to browse in a private or incognito mode in which storage is discarded when you close the window.

Because the values we store are strictly necessary, blocking or clearing them will have practical consequences: you will be signed out and unable to sign in or complete a purchase, and your currency preference will reset to the default. This is not a penalty; it is a direct consequence of removing the values the site needs to identify your session. Blocking storage does not disable any tracking of you by us, because there is none to disable.

Guidance on managing storage is published by each browser vendor within the browser's own help pages, and general guidance for consumers is available from the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Do Not Track and Similar Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal or comparable privacy setting, and some jurisdictions recognise automated opt-out signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to such signals, our website does not respond to them in any specific way.

In practice this makes no difference to you here: we do not track you across sites, so there is nothing for such a signal to switch off. We nevertheless encourage you to use the browser controls described in section 9.

11. Storage-Related Personal Data

Where a value stored on your device, or an identifier in a server log, can reasonably be linked to you, or is combined with other information we hold such as your account or order records, that information may constitute personal data under applicable law.

In those cases our Privacy Policy also applies to the processing, including as to legal basis, retention, security, international transfers, and your rights. Nothing in this policy limits the rights described there.

12. Complaints

If you are concerned about how we use cookies or comparable technologies, contact us at Comerziauk@gmail.com and we will respond.

If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the United Kingdom supervisory authority responsible for data protection and for the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. It can be contacted through its website at ico.org.uk.

13. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may revise this Cookie Policy as the website evolves, as legal requirements change, or as different providers and tools are implemented. Any revised version will be published on the website with an updated effective date.

Because this policy makes specific factual statements about what does and does not run on the website, we will review it whenever the website's technology changes, so that it remains accurate.
